Take care of yourself to better manage your emotions and your stress. Here are some tips to feel better in your body and your mind:
1. Physical activity.
Moving will allow you to release your stress. Find activities that you enjoy like walking your dog, dancing, playing basketball with your friends, and change your activity based on what you would like to do.
2. Sleep.
Sleep is important for your energy level, your mood and your morale. Consult our advice on how to sleep well on Sleep page.
3. Eating.
Your body, which is changing rapidly, needs plenty of energy. Listen to the signals it sends you to know when to eat or when to stop. Choose a variety of nutritious foods and hydrate yourself with water in all forms (fresh, sparkling, fruit flavoured, etc.).
4. Technology use.
Do you spend a lot of time on your computer or smartphone? It’s not easy to quit! Make sure to find the time to take care of yourself, to participate in activities you enjoy or that help you discover and develop new talents or passions. It helps to be zen!
5. Someone to talk to.
Just being able to talk to someone about what’s wrong allows you to reduce your stress. It can be someone in your family, a friend or a professional at school… Anyone who is available to listen to you when you need it.
